✈ MEET THE TEAM | Amelia ☕
From London to Airlie Beach, meet Amelia, one of the friendly faces you’ll find behind the coffee machine at The Hangar Cafe and Bar.
Amelia joined the team 3 months ago as a Café Assistant and loves that working at The Hangar means being surrounded by a fun and supportive
crew.
Her go-to menu choice? The Globemaster Smoothie on soy 🥤 a favourite she describes as tasting “unreal”.
Before joining The Hangar, Amelia worked as a qualified lifeguard and spent time babysitting foster children. When she’s not at The Hangar, Amelia is usually chasing the outdoors, whether that’s a beach day, a game of netball or heading out for a run.
If she could choose any superpower, Amelia would become a human lie detector, helping uncover the truth, solve crimes and make the world a little
fairer.
One of her favourite Hangar moments so far was a Sunday afternoon spent with the team at Hydeaway Bay watching the sunset, sharing platters and
enjoying time together outside of work. 🌅
Her philosophy? Put in the effort, work hard and always bring your best. And her insider tip for customers… The Hangar is home to the best breakfast in Airlie Beach, so come hungry! 🤍✈

A little team time outside of the café ✨
The crew took a drive out to beautiful Hydeaway Bay to enjoy an afternoon of sunset views, good food and plenty of laughs.
Dan put together a delicious platter for everyone to share as the team unwound, connected and enjoyed the incredible backyard we get to call home.
It was extra special seeing some of the team experience the beauty of this area in the Whitsundays for the first time. 💙
Sometimes this is just as important as the work we do.

Meet Pei, one of the friendly faces behind The Hangar Cafe and Bar!
Pei joined The Hangar team 3 months ago as a Café Assistant and says she loves being part of such a great team. Originally from Taiwan, she enjoys meeting new people and creating connections with customers who visit the café.
Her favourite menu item is the breakfast wrap, A dish she says stands out because it’s different to any other breakfast wrap here and flavour packed. 🌯☕
Outside of work, Pei loves drawing and swimming. If she could have any superpower, it would be the ability to stop all wars because it’s there’s no need for them and far too sad.
One of her favourite memories so far has been spending a Sunday afternoon, at a beach getaway with the Hangar team, a reminder that the Hangar is more than just a workplace, it’s a family.
Pei’s work philosophy is simple: always do your best! And her message to customers? Every dish is made with care and every customer experience matters. 🤍
